Business Revamped...

I have completely revamped the name and appearance of my business.
I wasnt totally sold on the name HotFrost Graphics, mainly because that is something that is hard to visualize or represent visually, and just didnt fit at all with the way i like to do design.
So i decided on something a little more professional/cultured sounding.
and of course along with the new name, comes the new logo, which im really excited about as i wasnt very happy with my last few logos i had made for myself.

Some more pictures that i took and developed for my photography class. In case you haven't noticed, i like taking pictures of things as they exist in the world, I'm not a huge fan of taking pictures of people, but it can be fun. But yeah these pictures are from last weekend when i was home.

Now that I am taking a Photography class, i absolutely love it! here are just a few samplings of the beginning of my work, look for more to be added soon, as i have 2 rolls of developed and 2 rolls of undeveloped film, from which i still need to get prints, hopefully some of this will get done this afternoon or tomorrow, we will see.

Just some new images that I've been working on lately. These are dealing mostly with taking parts of multiple images and splicing them together in a tasteful composition, while adding in some graphic elements to help the transitions and to help mold them into a singular piece.

I am entering a logo design contest here shortly so look for some images to be added soon, id love to get some feedback before i submit the final designs.

A new endeavor in life...

Over the past few months, I have been using my skill with graphic design to do fun little projects for friends, making personal logos, or nifty images for them to use in presentations. But only recently i decided that maybe I should take it to another level. This came after being asked to do a logo for the Sports Management Society here at Messiah College, when I realized that I could really go somewhere with this on a much more professional level.
So, after doing a few more projects I decided to send a business proposal to dozens of friends and business associates offering my services to them or anyone they knew that would like to have some graphic design work done.
Then, before a week has passed, and i had gone from doing a logo for $25-50 every couple of weeks, to having a waiting list of projects, and being able to charge $20/hour for all of the work that I did.
This has opened a whole new door in life for me...and a possible career
